A phrase I’ve lived by is, “if money is more important to me than the passion, I have to quit.” It’s something I tell myself and others I talk with. My heart behind photography is that I simply love to do it. There’s is a sense of nostalgia it holds for me; from the moments I would take my mom’s camera around, to being gifted a camera of my own, there is a fondness of those firsts I hold close. When discussing money with people, especially potential brides, I always say that this is a ministry and while I have to put a price on my time, I see it as a way to make connection points. That doesn’t mean when we’re together I’m trying to persuade you to believe the same as me, but that through my actions you may see the goodness & kindness of Christ. I don’t up charge because you mention wedding, I don’t ask you to put on a performance, I don’t need an ideal wedding for YOU to enjoy yourself. I am there to capture who you are naturally, not how an Instagram feed will look best. I push past this need to post feeling we live in, and try to live fully in the moment given. If that is something you connect with, we would work well together :)
